Embrace the current education system as it is

We all were stuck in some way or the other when the 2020 coronavirus lockdown was introduced. So was the education industry, which is trying its level best to cope with the losses that occurred for the students in the journey towards getting enlightened. However, blaming the current education system and criticizing for its loopholes that are being added on due to the present lockdown-like restrictions and lockdown-free areas, is not the right way to go ahead in life.

Coronavirus is here to stay, will not vanish completely: WHO

I know like every child, even you want your child to get that dream degree and the best job in the world so that his or her future is well-settled and you can also feel like having completed your duties. But you need to understand that people working in the education industry are also doing all the trials and errors for the first time. Even they are humans and it is okay to err as human beings.

Simply blaming the online education system or hybrid mode or physical classes during these pandemic times would not work in your favor, especially if your child keeps listening to your negative self-talk that comes out in loud as he or she is also at home trying to figure out how to settle down since the last two years. We need to accept the system as it is designed. So even if your child’s school is not adopting digital means like the way another school is doing, let us not fret out and make things complicated for your child’s learning process.

You can simply take things as they are and value-add by doing something meaningful for your children like preparing notes, introducing him or them to other learning apps, and also encouraging your child to learn and study at their own pace and time. Imagine yourself as the teacher who is trying to learn everything afresh and has to forcibly unlearn all that she or he studied in their course so that she can deliver the lectures during these testing times. Have some empathy for others and get some courage for yourself and your family to learn new things and give away your higher expectations to set them realistic and achievable.
