Education minister announces guidelines for students’ online learning

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced Students’ Learning Enhancement Guidelines via an online medium in New Delhi.

In the interaction, the Minister said due to the coronavirus times, institutions under the Ministry of Education have come together to provide school education at home using online methods.

Alternative Academic Calendar, PRAGYATA Guidelines, Digital Education-India Report, NISHTHA-Online are few of the initiatives done by the government to ensure children continue their school education at home.

But as there is inequality in access to online education, NCERT has come up with Students’ Learning Enhancement Guidelines for students without digital resources, students with limited digital resources and for students having full digital resources available for e-learning.

The move has been taken in order to help out students with learning deficiencies and also students not having digital resources.
