
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) plans to set up a research cell at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
The idea is to work on the defence technological requirements that will arise in the future for India.
Hence, basic and applied research programmes in known technological areas will be undertaken by the new DRDO – IITH Research Cell.
An online event was organized where the officials signed the MOU for setting up the research committee.
DRDO Research and Innovation Centre (RIC), Chennai is renowned for organizing scientific and applied research in advanced technologies for defence.
Thus, the research cell of both the organizations will help achieve more success in indigenous technology research.
