Dr Rajesh Tripathi awarded Life Time Achievement “Atal Gaurav Ratna Puraskar 2020″

Bhopal: Professor Dr Rajesh Tripathi, Principal, VNS College of Physical Education and Management Studies, Bhopal conferred with the “Atal Gaurav Ratna Puraskar 2020” for his remarkable contribution in the field of education in the state capital on Sunday. This award was presented by the Atal Bharat Sports and Cultural Association, India under Life Time Achievement category.

On receiving this award, the Chairman of All India Council of Physical Education (AICPE) Dr Rajesh Tripathi says “I am honoured to receive this valuable award which has come as a motivation in my life to give more of myself to education, sports and research. I have been in the field of sports since 1977 and presently I am working in the area of rehabilitation of sports players with injury through yoga. Besides, I also teach physical education and 20 students have completed their Ph.D under my guidance.”

Notably, this is the fourth award of Dr Rajesh Tripathi. Besides, he has also bagged Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016; National Sports Time Award, 2011 and Special Award from Nagrik Sahakari Bank in research and education.

The multi-talented personality Dr Rajesh Tripathi is also the Chairman of All India Council of Physical Education (AICPE), Governing Council member of SPEFL-SC, New Delhi, Member of Dornacharya Award Committee, 2013, Jury Member FICCI-India Sports Award Committee. He has been the international referee of Basketball and has also participated in various national and state level tournaments.

Being an expert and scholar of Physical Education and Sports for more than last 30 years, Dr Rajesh is working as a Chiropractor. Chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.

He believes “It is quite easy and important to prevent and cure sports and other injuries, without going into hardships of expensive surgery. Tough this ancient practice, I have cured injuries like cervical spondylosis, Low back problem, Ankle injury, Knee ligament injury, Tennis elbow, Frozen shoulder, Sciatica all commons sports injuries, Knock knees, etc.”

Dr Rajesh Tripathi has published 11 books on Physical Education and has presented around 48 research papers national international journals. He has done over 50 researches on sports disciplines.
