What is Moving On?
Recently, I read a news item wherein a top actress in the Tollywood industry tells her haters to move on in life as she is no longer in her ex-husband's matters whether he is dating someone or doing anything in his personal life. Well, "move on" is not restricted to just love life but also in all areas of our lives wherein a person decides to keep thinking about his past, doesn't start anything new, and limits his interactions only to his failures or hatred in his mind.
Moving on is all about taking the steps to change our life for the good by starting a new activity in the business world or corporate world, or personal life or health. For example, a person who has recovered from a severe injury may interact with his loved ones by telling them that he wants to really move on from his past and would like to shift to another place for a change. Moving on can also happen to a student who failed his board exams. The student can decide to change his career scope and take up something that he can finish with good marks and once he attains success in that, he is said to be moved on from his failures and mistakes.
Usually, criticism and comparisons make a person's life hell and really quite difficult for them to move on. Thus, silencing such inner critics or avoiding people who keep comparing your progress with that of others, should help you to move on in life. For example, when I was doing my bachelor's in management studies, I really had a good set of friends. But when I decided to take up something in social work after my graduation, I really got some vague comments that would have stopped my life's progress. So, I moved on from that group of friends to create new friendships and learn something better that will help me in my life.
Believing in your abilities and your life's journey will really help you to move on in life with grace and happiness. You can even shift your negative energies to acquire a more positive and balanced mindset to create a meaningful and better lifestyle. Don't go by the words of the naysayers who come to you to instill only doubts and fears inside you. For example, if you have decided that you want to quit the relationship and move on in life because you no longer feel the connections, you will not make it through if you keep listening to the ones who ask you to stay back in the relationship just for the sake of it.
Same way, if you have got a better opportunity in a bigger company than your existing one and have decided to move on for growth prospects, don't look back to the ones who ask you to stay back just to show your loyalty and commitment towards the company. Moving on is definitely not an easy process because we have a lot of emotions and sentiments attached to our past things, people and lives, but if moving on is essential for your life's growth, then simply go ahead without any regrets.
