Same way, you visit an educational institute asking for queries related to admissions or career. You are given many options by the counselor or receptionist at the desk. This will make you feel a little confused because you are not in the right frame of mind to decide after looking at the fees and duration involved in the programs. You may ask the person that you would want more time to decide the future course of action. When you contact your friends and they too don't have the required understanding to help you make a career decision, you check out the ratings of the institute on Google or read about the institute on different websites. This gives you clarity as you get the information of the reviews by the alumni or past students as well.

Thus, you get the required information in a matter of time and solve your career-related problems, thanks to the internet and technology. Therefore, we can say that we live in the information age wherein we get everything right in front of us clearly mentioned about what we want in our lives due to a lot of people involved in producing, creating, and publishing content in the internet industry.

However, the information age has a lot of loopholes as well. As they say that every coin has two sides, so does the information age comes with a lot of misinformation that can make people take bad or wrong decisions as well. For example, you name any top celebrity and read about the various websites that carry reports on them that may have true and false information as well. In the past, you may have read how there were many stories about celebrities throwing tantrums while working in films, possessing luxurious items, and even having extra-marital affairs.

At times, information can also mislead users who are reading the same to get into a confused thinking pattern. For example, during the coronavirus pandemic times, a lot of information was spread on the internet, online, and social media groups about how the pandemic is killing people. This created chaos and panic in society. Thus, the information age needs to be dealt with with a proper mindset and cross-verification of facts as well.
