Change in identity is usually done intentionally in order to create a transformation in how one is perceived. Identity change is also done in the digital world majority of the time to protect their real identity. Identity change is also used in the context of computer security and carrying out financial transactions without revealing the real identity. Usually, identity is fixed but it can be modified or altered depending on the need or situation. Identity change can also be done as a therapy to get rid of bad or wrong habits.

For example, if a person eats a lot and has become obese, then he may think about eating moderately to be perceived as a fitness enthusiast rather than an obese or unhealthy person. Excessive drinking and drug abuse are also some of the bad habits that demand identity change because no one likes to be remembered as a drug addict or alcoholic in society for a long period of time.

Just imagine how Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt transformed himself over the years. He was jailed for a long period for his misbehavior and wrong habits but he didn't let it affect his identity as an actor. His recent film KGF 2 has created a storm at the box office, thanks to his hard work and interest in entertaining his fans all over the world. He stuck to his commitment at work and even completed the unfinished films when he was put under a jail term. 

If you watch the film Sanju in which Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Sanjay Dutt and the reasons he became a drug addict and a person known for all wrong reasons, you will understand the various losses Sanjay had to face in the real life that made him attract the kind of the wrong reputation in the past. Sanjay was even diagnosed with a serious illness in recent times but he fought for his life again and came back to the film industry to entertain his audience. Sanjay transformed himself and adapted to new circumstances as and when they came.

Even at the age of 60s, he has bonded well with his co-stars and also hugged Salman Khan at the recent Eid party that was thrown by a popular minister. Isn't it amazing how celebrities adapt themselves to situations and change themselves for the betterment of themselves, their fans, and even their families? Celebrities overcome their bad habits in order to set the right example in society. 

It can be noted how identity can be changed consciously by thinking about how one wants to be known and perceived by others. People work towards their actions intentionally so that they earn a good name in society. Identity change happens when one is willing to become a new version of themselves. They work towards appreciating themselves and reinforce their actions to bring about a change in their perceived identity. No need to give up if you are unable to achieve what you dream about, you can definitely reach where you are with small steps and appreciate the journey as it goes.
