Something that is not rigid or fixed. Something that doesn’t remain unchanged and something that remains evergreen or forever. For example, giving birth to a baby is not flexible. A baby is born out of a womb only between 7 to 9 months. A person cannot decide to get a baby in a month and give birth to it. Ya, I know you are aware of this fact yet, mentioned the fact as an example.
Flexibility in nature comes when a person is willing to change for the betterment of self and everyone. Flexibility in the body and mind is quite essential if we want to lead a good life in today’s ever-changing times. You want to know how things are changing around us, then just read newspapers daily. You will know how the covid pandemic has changed the way things are functioning and how people are reacting to the changes by fight or flight mode.
So, if your school is online, you need to accept the fact that you have studies to do in online mode only and not expect to go to school and submit your homework. The moment you decide you want to change and accept the changes as it is without fighting or trying to change it, you have won the inner battle inside of you and achieved a level of flexibility in your mind.
If your mother-in-law is mad at you for not living up to her expectations even after you trying to work towards it for many years, you need to accept the fact as it is and not try to put effort to change her attitude towards you. Certain things don’t change but our attitude has to be flexible and not rigid. We shouldn’t come in the way of our own progress and that will happen only if we are quite flexible to bend and move forward in life.
If you are putting on a lot of weight due to the lockdown restrictions, exercise at home, do some housework, keep your mind by doing meditation, etc. Make your body flexible if you don’t want to pay huge hospitalization bills. Remember being flexible is quite important to manage the transition and stress that comes with the change.
