Time wasters are anything that actually kills your productive time. You may be wanting to do an MBA or looking forward to completing that task at hand, but you keep postponing like anything quoting that you lack time to do the same. The main reason for this is the lack of organizing the 24 hours of time that you get like everyone else.
Time wasters are basically distractions that don’t allow you to do what you intend to and make you look like a lazy bum who is not serious about life. In the 21st century, one of the major time wasters are smartphones and technological devices. The more you keep scrolling your social media pages and reading news and chatting with your friends mindlessly, the more you are killing your important time and making you go behind the important schedules.
Multi-tasking is also another time-waster that actually affects your physical and mental well-being like anything. You are good at one thing, so just do it first and then move on to another task if you can. Do not bombard yourself with a lot of stuff on your plate if you are not skilled with multi-tasking. For example, if you are a good content writer, then write articles and make a name for yourself. Do not keep on experimenting with various profiles into digital marketing, technical writing, etc if you cannot manage them all by yourself. Just do what you are good at first, finish it off, and then do whatever next is possible to you, be it in your personal life or professional life.
Avoid perfectionism. I have seen people who keep doing the same thing over and again to make it look perfect. For example, you are given a task to write assignments, so just write what the answer is for the question and get done with it. Do not think of referring to various sources of information and keep adding up your work if you don’t have that much time with you to finish off the assignments.
