
New Delhi: After CBSE, CISCE has decided to cancel 12th class board exams this year in view of the status of Covid-19. Board secretary Gerry Arathoon said, “The exams have been cancelled. Alternative assessment standards will be announced soon.
The decision of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has been taken on the lines of cancellation of CBSE Board examinations. The decision to cancel CBSE examinations was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In view of the current state of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country, CISCE has decided to cancel ISC (Class 12) examinations for 2021,” CISCE said in an official order issued on Tuesday night. The safety and health of students, teachers and everyone involved in this process is our top priority.”
It said, “The test results will be prepared on the basis of a system that will also include the internal examinations conducted by the schools. Schools will be informed about this system in the coming time.” If some students are not satisfied with their marks after the declaration of results of class 12th examinations, then CISCE will conduct written examinations for such students after having a favorable environment. Will give option.
