Lucknow: Amity Institute of Information Technology, Amity University, Lucknow Campus is conducting an online, Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Artificial Intelligence from 11th to 15th January 2021 duly sponsored by AICTE/ATAL.
More than 200 Faculty members, Industry /Corporate representatives and research scholars from various states across India are participating in online Faculty Development Programme and hands-on training.
The participants will be trained on various concepts and applications of Artificial Intelligence. The FDP has conducted in 14 sessions of 1.5 hours each; resource persons from various reputed institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and Industry Professionals associated with NVIDIA Research Center, Statistical, and other AI lab from India and aboard will share their thought over the next five days.
Dr. Girdhari Lal Garg Deputy Director AICTE/ATAL, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, graced the inaugural session and congratulated Amity University, Lucknow Campus for conducting the FDP on such a relevant domain of AI for the benefit of faculty members in the country.
Pro Vice Chancellor Amity University Lucknow Campus, Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Dhaneshwar addressed the participants and highlighted the applications of Artificial Intelligence in various scientific and humane areas. Brig. Umesh Chopra Director AIIT during his welcome talk deliberated on the functional aspects of AI and their relevant algorithms and thanked AICTE for giving AIIT, Amity University, Lucknow Campus, the opportunity to conduct this FDP on a cutting edge area.
The Resource Persons Dr. Priyanka Sharma from Nirma University associated with NVDIA Research Center and Dr. Indranil Saha from IIT Kanpur delivered sessions on Artificial Intelligence and Natural language processing today.
Dr. Priyanka During her talk emphasized the significance of machine learning and demonstrated through examples how it has been useful in handling, Covid Cases through effective predictions.
Dr. Indranil demonstrated the application to Artificial intelligence to cyber security and cyber-attacks, which are the most common form of attacks that take place online and a larger population is affected financially and mentally.
Dr. Rajiv Pandey and Dr. Parul Verma from Amity University, Lucknow campus, will be guiding the participants with online execution of all the computer software and programs. On completion of the Faculty Development Programme, the successful candidates will be awarded completion certificates by AICTE.
