New Delhi.. The two-day Skill India Employment Fair in Bikaner, Rajasthan concluded today. Around 7500 youth participated in this fair and more than 2000 youth were selected for jobs. The fair was organized by the National Skill Development Corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. More than 100 companies participated in this fair.
Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey attended the closing session of the fair. Employment fair is being organized in different cities of the country, this gives the candidates an opportunity to interact with the employers. Skill competition, Kaushal Haat, Kaushal Saathi, mentoring program etc. were also organized in the fair.
Big companies like Big-Basket, CarDekho.com, Eureka Forbes, IKEA Global, Kotak Mahindra, Reliance Retail, Muthoot Group, TAFE Limited participated in this fair. More than 2000 candidates were selected for the posts of Technician, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Sales-Executive, Business Executive, Data Entry Operator etc.
On this occasion, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said that the importance of employment fair has increased with the participation of private companies. It provides employment opportunities and increases awareness among people through programs like Skill Saathi. I am happy to see a large number of youths coming to the employment fair of Bikaner.
Skill fair was also included in this employment fair. Under this, candidates could register their names in Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra. Mudra-loan facility centers and training centers were also organized in the fair. In the presence of Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the selected candidates were given offer letters for the job.
