22 faculty members and researchers of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati are ranking among the world’s top scientists that has been released by Stanford University of the USA.
The list was created by experts at Stanford University and it has over one lakh scientists’ names.
The research done by these scientists have inspired progress in their respective areas and also improved work of other researchers as well, said IIT G.
Interestingly, even the faculty members and the institute’s director were named in the list for their research work for 2019 and their lifetime contribution to particular areas of research.
IIT Guwahati faculty members ranked in the list are from the Departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics.
The appreciation of many faculty members of the institute in the world’s top two per cent of Scientists List has placed it in the global map of science and has brought awesome recognition to the institute.
