New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of corona in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held an online meeting with the Chief Ministers of different states of the country. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel did not attend this meeting. In this meeting of PM, a presentation was given on the situation of Covid in the country, in which it has been told that the corona has increased by more than 150 percent in 70 districts of the country. It has most of the districts of Western India.
After presenting the figures, the PM told the Chief Ministers that there is still a need to show the same vigilance and seriousness about the corona as it has been shown for a year. He said that the same seriousness should be shown regarding testing, tracking and treatment and the testing should be increased in small towns.
Prime Minister Modi said that in 70 districts of the country, this increase is more than 150% in the last few weeks. If we do not stop this growing epidemic here, a nationwide outbreak situation can occur.
The PM said that in many states, more emphasis is being laid on rapid antigen testing and the vehicle is running in the same manner, such as Kerala, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, UP. We have to emphasize on increasing RT-PCR test in all the states of the country.
The condition of Maharashtra is more worrisome. Here, almost twice as many cases are being reported in a day than before. At present, 60 percent of active cases and 45 percent of death cases are in Maharashtra. This is the situation according to the data as of March 15.
