Lucknow: In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 20,510 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been reported, while 67 more people have died. This is the highest ever number of new cases coming up in UP in a single day.
Health Department’s Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad said on Wednesday that, with the death of 67 people during the last 24 hours in the state, the total number of deaths in the state so far has increased to 9,376.
He said that Covid-19 infection has been confirmed in 20,510 new patients in the state during the last 24 hours. This is the largest figure of any single day in the state. Earlier, on April 13, 18,021 new cases were reported.
Prasad said that 4,517 patients have been cured during the last 24 hours. At present, there are 1,11,835 people under treatment in the state.
