Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government conducted dry run of Covid vaccination in all 75 districts of the state on Tuesday to test the preparedness for the vaccination, which is expected to be launched near Makar Sankranti.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who himself visited Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in the state capital to witness the dry run, will be talking to all the district officials including DMs, CMOs, SP, IG, DIGs, Commissioners and other officials this evening through video conferencing to aware them about the vaccination protocol and other norms.
State additional chief secretary, information, Navneet Sehgel told media persons here on Tuesday that the CM has directed that vaccination protocol of the central government should be followed strictly and there should not be violation in the process.
He said that state government has fully geared up for the vaccination and every soon the date would be announced when it will commence.
State additional chief secretary, health, Amit Mohan Prasad said that today’s dry run in all the 75 districts was successful.
He said that though there was a norm that every district should hold dry run in 3 urban and 3 rural hospitals, but in some districts, the numbers were more than the prescribed.
“The dry run was held to check the prepardness of the health department for the vaccination and the check the loop holes,” he said.
Mr Prasad said that CM himself went to the RML hospital in Lucknow to witness the dry run and was satisfied with the process.
