New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized on strengthening the health infrastructure in the wake of the outbreak of the second wave of Corona epidemic across the country and directed to guide the states in it.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister made a comprehensive review of the situation related to Covid-19 in the country. They were given detailed information about the spread of Covid in various states and districts. Shri Modi was informed about the states where there are more than one lakh cases. At the same time, the Prime Minister was also told about the districts most affected by this disease.
The Prime Minister was briefed about the preparation of healthcare related infrastructure by the states. He directed that assistance and guidance should be given about key indicators to enhance the infrastructure of health services.
In addition, the need to ensure speedy and holistic prevention measures were also discussed. The Prime Minister noted that a consultation was sent to states to identify districts where the number of infection cases is 10 percent or more and oxygen-rich or ICU beds are more than 60 percent full.
