New Delhi: There is a severe shortage of oxygen in the country amidst the corona epidemic. In view of this, PM Narendra Modi has approved the purchase of one lakh portable oxygen concentrators from the PM Cares Fund. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by PM Modi on Wednesday.

In the meeting, the PM directed that the portable oxygen concentrator should be procured at the earliest and made available to the states. States most affected by Corona will be preferred. In addition to 713 PSA plants already approved under PM Care Fund, 500 new oxygen plants were approved in the meeting.
