New Delhi: As many as 33,610 people have been infected due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the country and the death toll rose to 1,075 after the death of 68 more people since Wednesday evening. The Union Health Ministry said that 24,162 people infected with the corona virus are being treated in the country while 8,372 people have recovered and one person has gone out of the country. Of the total infected people in the country, 111 are foreign nationals. In the last 24 hours, 1823 new cases of corona virus have been reported.
Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Luv Agarwal said, the total recovery rate is currently 25.18 percent. It is continuously increasing and is a positive sign. He said, there have been cases in 78 percent of deaths in India which had many other diseases. The pace of increase of Corona virus infection of the country is now 11 days, that is, cases are doubling in 11 days now.
Love Aggarwal said that the number of cases in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Punjab is doubling at 11-20 days. He said that in Karnataka, Ladakh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Kerala, the number of cases is doubling in 20 to 40 days.
