The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released advice for residents on Thursday, as a new wave of Covid-19 instances has generated a large increase in daily cases. The treatment of Covid-19 with steroids, the use of masks in tots, and coping with post-recovery problems are all covered in the guidelines.

The announcement comes on the same day that India’s daily Covid-19 tally reached a new high, with 317,532 people testing positive for the virus, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. The overall death toll increased as well, with 491 individuals succumbing to Covid-19 on Thursday, up from 441 on Wednesday. According to data from India’s health ministry, the total number of Covid-19 cases has already reached 38,218,773.
Meanwhile, India’s Omicron count is approaching 10,000, with 9,287 infections of the highly transmissible ‘variant of concern’ documented so far in the country.

The health ministry has produced ‘Revised Comprehensive Guidelines for Management of Covid-19 in Children and Adolescents (below 18 years)’ in the wake of the country’s Omicron outbreak. In light of the current situation in India, a group of specialists examined the guidelines.
