Lucknow: During the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 1,155 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported, which is a new record. Additional Chief Secretary of Information and Home Department Avnish Kumar Awasthi told here on Sunday that 12 people died in the last 24 hours. So far the death toll from the virus in the state has reached 785.
He informed that 1,155 new cases of infection with corona virus have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. A total of 18,761 people have been fully cured so far. Thus, the total number of cases under treatment in the state is 8,161.
Awasthi said that a total of 29,117 samples were tested on one day on Saturday. The maximum of 3,579 samples were tested at the King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow, the capital. In addition 2,148 samples were tested at SGPGI Lucknow.
