More than 16k new cases of Covid-19 in India for fourth consecutive day

New Delhi: In India, 16,752 new coronary virus infections have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, the highest in the last 30 days. After this, the total number of infections increased to 1,10,96,731.

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry till eight o’clock on Sunday morning, the death toll from the epidemic has reached 1,57,051 after the death of 113 more infected people.

On January 29, 18,855 new cases were reported in the country. According to the data, the number of patients being treated for the infection has increased to 1,64,511 which is 1.48 percent of the total cases.

So far, a total of 1,07,75,169 patients in the country have been free of infection. After this the rate of infection-free is 97.10 percent. The mortality rate from corona virus infection is 1.42 percent.
