UK records another 141,472 new coronavirus cases
However, it can be found that none of these eight states are going through a full lockdown but have imposed a night curfew, weekend curfew, and many limitations to reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease. This comes at a time when there are rising cases of Omicron variant all over the nation.
Omicron has so far reported 4,868 cases, out of which Maharashtra tops the list by recording 1,281 cases. Delhi on the other side is the worst-hit state and ranks third in the country with 546 cases. Out of all the states that are reporting Omicron variant cases, only Tamil Nadu is the state that has Omicron patients recovered fully.
For the unaware, the symptoms of Omicron usually start with body ache, overall weakness, tiredness, headache, fever in the beginning days, and slowly people also develop a cough that can be dry along with a cold that may have signs of runny nose and sneezing. The cough is usually dry and can get resolved in the next three days from the time it started. For 80% of the patients, the fever goes away during the first 3 days, and if still, it persists then the infection can be told to be a sign of mild to severe and thus, needs doctor intervention.
