India surpasses Brazil in terms of Covid-19 caseloads

New Delhi: New Delhi: The corona virus havoc in India has been increasing rapidly and has now reached the second place in the list of countries with poor status of covid-19 infection. In India, the number of corona virus infections exceeded 42 lakhs and with this, India overtook Brazil in terms of maximum number of infections.

According to worldometers data, 41.37 lakh people have been affected by the corona virus so far in Brazil, of which 1.26 lakh people have lost their lives. So far, 33.17 lakh people in the country have been cured of this epidemic.

The highest number of coronavirus infections have been reported in the US and 64.6 lakh cases have been reported there, which is about 22.56 lakh more than India. So far 37.25 people have been cured in the US and 1.93 lakh people have died.

India has been reporting the highest number of daily Covid cases in the world for nearly a month, according to the World Health Organization data.

Talking about the deaths due to the coronavirus, India has recorded 71,642 deaths among which 1,016 deaths were recorded in last 24 hours.

A relieving factor amid the crisis is that India has shown an impressive recovery rate as about 32.5 lakh Covid patients have recovered so far and over 69,000 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

For state-wise analysis, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh are the five worst-affected states in the country by the outbreak.
