The health ministry has declared that the digital health card is not compulsory to get coronavirus vaccine.
This is after people in different parts of the country became worried after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the new digital health ID will help ensure fast vaccine delivery.
Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the digital ID is not a must and will not become so in future as well.
The NDHM was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 this year in order to help everyone get themselves registered for the national health mission and avail a digital health ID that helps to avail various medical services.
