New Delhi: Delhi has got a big relief on the vaccine front. Delhi government has received 1,27,420 doses of COVISHIELD for people in the age group of 18-44 years. Not only this, another 20,000 doses of COVAXIN have been found for people of 18-44 years. Earlier, on June 6, Delhi had received 40,000 doses of COVAXIN, which enabled the resumption of immunization of youth at the government immunization center, but only for the second dose. However, now with the availability of 1,27420 doses of COVISHIELD, youth in Delhi will be able to take the first dose free of cost from the government vaccination center.
It is worth noting that the number of new cases of corona in Delhi has now come down significantly, as well as the positivity rate has also come down to one. The corona infection rate in Delhi has come down to less than 0.5 percent. In the last 24 hours, 337 new cases of corona have been reported in the capital of the country. The number of active corona patients in Delhi is 4511. This is the lowest since March 23. Including 337 cases in 24 hours, the total number of corona cases in Delhi has increased to 14,30,128.
