Mumbai: 3007 new cases of corona infection were reported in Maharashtra on Sunday and the total number of infected people has increased to 85,975. With this, Maharashtra has overtaken China, where 83,036 cases have been reported so far.

Amidst all this, there is good news from Mumbai’s Dharavi, which is called Asia’s largest slum area. According to the officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), no deaths from Corona have been reported in Dharavi in ​​the last 6 days. At the same time, 939 people out of 1899 infected have been cured. On the first date of the month, 34 people were found corona positive in this area and now this number has come down to 10.

Kiran Dighawkar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, BMC’s G North Ward, said on Sunday, “There has been no death from corona in Dharavi in ​​the last 6 days. This is the first major sign that we are on the right track. The number of people recovering is also increasing.

Dighavkar said, ‘So far 71 people have died in Dharavi region. However, the real change is visible from the daily tests. On June 1, 34 people were found to be Corona positive, which has now come down to 10.
