MUMBAI: The corona virus has been wreaking havoc in Maharashtra and on Thursday, 3607 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the state, after which the number of infected people in the state rose to 97648. On Thursday, 152 people died due to Covid-19 in Maharashtra, after which the death toll reached 3590.
“The total number of infected people reached 97648 after the arrival of 3607 new corona virus cases in the state on Thursday. The state recorded 152 deaths on Thursday and the death toll reached 3590,” a Maharashtra health official said.
A total of 1561 Corona patients have recovered and gone home on Thursday in Maharashtra. That is, the total number of patients who have now recovered has reached 46,078. So far, out of a sample of 6,09,317 people across the state, 97,648 (16 percent) of the reports have come out positive.
Mumbai has reported the highest number of cases in Maharashtra and the total number of patients here has now reached 54085, out of which 1954 people have died so far.
