Lucknow: In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 39 more people have died due to Covid-19 infected, with 8490 new patients confirmed this infection. According to the report released by the Department of Health, the number of deaths due to the virus has increased to 9003 in the state with 39 more deaths of Covid-19 infected in the state during the last 24 hours. The maximum number of 11 deaths have taken place in the capital Lucknow.

At present, 39338 Covid-19 patients are being treated in the state. In the daily briefing, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Medicine and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that a total of 2,04,878 samples were examined in a day in the state yesterday. A total of 3,61,47,340 samples have been investigated so far in the state. The total number of infected people in the state has been 654404.

Till date, a total of 6,06,063 people have been recovered from Covid-19 and discharged. So far, 66,88,260 people have been given the first dose of vaccine and 11,79,437 people have been given the second dose of vaccine. In this way, a total of 78,67,697 people have been given vaccine doses.

Lucknow has the highest number of 2369 new confirmed corona infected patients, 1040 in Prayagraj, 794 in Varanasi, 368 in Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur 259 and 222 in Meerut.

Prasad has appealed to people coming from outside the state to understand their social responsibility and spend 10 days at home. He said that if any symptoms of infection are seen, go to the hospitals themselves and check for Covid-19.
