Meerut: After two days of relief in Meerut, today the number of patients of Corona has increased. Today, 34 new cases of corona infection in the city have crossed the thousand of covid positive patients.
According to the Health Department, 724 samples were tested in Meerut today, in which 34 new cases were confirmed. At present, 256 corona victims are under treatment while 675 people have been discharged.
At the same time the number of deaths has increased to 70 with the death of one corona victim admitted to LLRM Covid Hospital. The deceased was a resident of Somdutt Vihar.
According to the report of the Health Department, 704 samples were sent for testing today, while the report of 626 samples is still awaited. So far, 25753 samples have been tested in Meerut, out of which 24126 reports have come negative.
Meerut became the sixth city in Uttar Pradesh with more than a thousand corona patients. In addition to Meerut, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow cities have more than a thousand corona patients.
