New Delhi: Coronavirus infection cases in India continue to increase. In the last 24 hours, 78 thousand 357 new cases of corona have been registered in the country. With this, now the number of corona infected in India has crossed 37 lakh 69 thousand. Not only this, 1045 people have lost their lives in the last one day and now the figure of total deaths has reached 66 thousand 333. The disturbing thing is that the number of active cases in the country is also more than 8 lakhs. However, the patients returning to the hospital have recovered more than 2.9 million.
Talking about the most affected states in the country, the situation in Maharashtra is quite bad. Now the number of victims has crossed 8 lakh 8 thousand. At the same time, the number of dead has now increased to 24,903 with 320 new deaths in 24 hours. Maharashtra accounts for more than one-third of the country’s total deaths.
Andhra Pradesh has the second highest number of infected states, where 10,368 new infections have been detected in a day. With this, the number of victims in the state has now gone up to 4 lakh 45 thousand 139. Tamil Nadu has become the third number with more than 4 lakh 33 thousand cases. Whereas there are 3 lakh 51 thousand cases in Karnataka at number four. At present, 5837 patients have died in Karnataka, against 7418 deaths in Tamil Nadu at number three.
