18 paramilitary forces have lost their lives so far in the epidemic
New Delhi: A 41-year-old jawan of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) died of a Covid-19 infection on Sunday. With this, the number of soldiers who lost their lives to this epidemic has increased to six. Officials said that till now five central paramilitary forces of the country – Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) ) 18 lives have been lost in this epidemic.
He said that Constable Jitendra Kumar died at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. He was admitted to the hospital on 10 June after having trouble breathing and fever. A senior CISF official said that the soldier was infected with Corona virus while on duty in Delhi. He said that Jitendra was a resident of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh and the CISF was posted to the Eighth Battalion in Jaipur.
