New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the district and regional officials to formulate a different strategy to deal with the corona epidemic according to the situation in rural and urban areas.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister reviewed the situation arising due to Corona epidemic with the district and regional authorities of the states in a meeting organized through video conference. This is the second meeting of the Prime Minister’s officials, even before that he had a meeting with the officials of some states.
He stressed that there is a great need to share local experiences and fight unitedly for the whole country. He said that even though the cases of infection are decreasing, there is a need to spread the message more and more to ensure strict adherence to Covid behavior in rural areas and to keep the villages free from infection. He asked the officials to chalk out different strategies for rural and urban areas as per the situation there and ensure that the villages remain free from infection.
The Prime Minister said that every epidemic has taught us the importance of continuous innovation and how to deal with epidemics. These methods and strategies should be multidimensional because the virus is very sly and also multi-faceted. Changing the form of the virus is worrying for children and young people. He said that to deal with this, we have to increase the speed of vaccination rapidly.
The Prime Minister said that everyone should meet this challenge with full commitment. He said that to solve new challenges, we have to find new strategies and new solutions. He said that there has been some decrease in infection in the past, but the challenge remains and caution needs to be taken.
He appreciated the officials and said that based on your experience and feedback, policies are helping to make it practical and effective. He said that every effort should be made to stop the vaccine wastage as the vaccine’s waste means that people are being deprived of it.
