New Delhi: There will be a fourth sero survey in the country soon, a total of 28 thousand samples will be taken under it. Sero survey will be between 14 thousand children and 14 thousand adults (6 years and above) This survey will start from June and end in this month itself. The survey will have special emphasis on rural areas. This sero survey is being done in view of the impact of Corona’s third wave on rural areas. Indian Council of Medical Research will lead this survey.
Significantly, in the country’s largest state of UP in the population, the sero survey is being started from June 4 for a thorough investigation of corona infection. This survey will be done in all 75 districts of the state through this survey. In which area of which district, how much infection of corona spread and how much of the population was infected. Not only this, it will also reveal how many people have made antibodies to fight corona.
During the first wave of Corona, a sero survey was conducted in 11 districts of UP in September last year. The survey was conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Kaushambi, Baghpat and Moradabad. At that time, antibodies were found in 22.1% of the people in the sero survey.
