Lucknow: 36 more people have died from Covid-19 in Uttar Pradesh in 24 hours while 9,587 people have been found infected with the virus.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said in a press briefing on Friday that the number of infected people increased to 6,63,991 after 9,587 new cases of infection were reported in the state while the total number of deaths 36 in the last 24 hours. The number of patients undergoing Covid-19 in the state is 48,306.
On Thursday, more than 1.97 lakh samples were tested in the state whereas more than 3.63 crore samples have been tested so far. According to Prasad, more than 81 lakh doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given in the state.
