255-bed Covid Hospital opened in UP Haj House

Lucknow: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday commenced operations of the 255-bed Covid Hospital built in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Uttar Pradesh State Government at Haj House here. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the occasion.

Rajnath Singh lauded the efforts of the Yogi government to tackle the Covid-19 epidemic on the occasion and said that the cooperation of HAL and the state government made possible the construction of the hospital. Shri Yogi thanked the Central Government for its continued support in the fight against the epidemic.

All 255 beds of HAL-UP Covid Hospital are equipped with oxygen facilities. While 130 beds are equipped with oxygen, 100 beds are connected to the HFNC facility while 25 beds have ventilator support. For the initial operation in the hospital, 150 oxygen cylinders have been arranged through close cooperation between the state government and HAL.

The state government has assured that all necessary supplies will be made available for running the hospital. The hospital has the best modern medical facilities. The hospital will be managed by the Lucknow District Administration.
