Meerut: After receiving a record number of Corona infected patients for two consecutive days, there is some relief in Meerut today. Today 16 new Corona cases have been found in Meerut while one death has been confirmed.
According to the Medical Bulletin of the Health Department, 16 corona positives have been confirmed in the testing of 539 samples done today. Thus, the total corona patients in Meerut have been 935, out of which 601 people have been discharged after recovery while 267 patients are under treatment.
At the same time, 65-year-old Corona infected in the city succumbed to Subharti Hospital. This man from Aurang Shahpur was admitted to the hospital yesterday. In Meerut, the death toll from corona infection has now risen to 67.
According to the report, 23671 samples have been tested so far in Meerut, out of which 22368 reports have come negative.
On the condition of corona in Meerut division, the Chief Minister has issued special instructions for the district in the meeting today and asked for medical screening of every house.
