New Delhi: To end the outbreak of Corona virus in the country, the lockdown has been imposed till May 17 by the Narendra Modi government of the Center. Despite this, the infection of this deadly virus is not taking its name. Today (Saturday) 19 prisoners were examined at the Corona in Rohini Jail, out of which 15 prisoners have been confirmed corona infection. One of these is also the staff of an infected prison. Sandeep Goyal, DG, Delhi-based Rohini Jail, has informed the media about this.
“We had conducted COVID-19 testing for 19 inmates of Rohini jail who were sharing barrack with one inmate who was tested positive in DDU hospital earlier where he had gone for some other ailment,” Goel said.
“Their test results have come. 15 out of these 19 inmates have tested positive. 5 staff had also been put to test. Out of these, 1 staff (Head Warder) has tested positive. Rest are negative,” Goel added.
“So far, all these persons, including those who tested positive are asymptomatic,” he said.
