BANGALORE: It has been decided to extend the lockdown in Karnataka by May 24, as Corona infection cases increase. This time in the state, a decision has been taken to be more strict against those who violate the lockdown and the rules have been tightened for this. BS Yeddyurappa government has said that there will be a lockdown from 6 am on May 10 to 6 am on May 25.

On Thursday, 49,058 new cases of Corona virus infection have been reported in Karnataka and with this the number of people infected so far has increased to 17,90,104.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa had said some time ago today that if people do not cooperate then it will become mandatory to put a lockdown to stop the growing cases of Covid-19. Expressing concern over the Corona virus cases growing alarmingly, he said, “People are not following the public curfew in the right way. They are not taking our warnings seriously. Therefore, it may be necessary to impose a lockdown.”
