Concept of the DayWhat is Exceptional Customer Service?

Date:

Exceptional customer service is the commitment to provide the highest level of product or service to customers, irrespective of the situation. It doesn’t matter even if the customer is on the wrong side or not. It even doesn’t matter if it is a situation that happens once in a lifetime only. Exceptional customer service’s main intention is to do whatever you can anything and everything within your limitations and power.

Exceptional customer service provides you with better customer loyalty, improved customer satisfaction, good word-of-mouth marketing, positive feedback or ratings, and even good recommendations or suggestions. Exceptional customer service is like providing the customers the whole listening a top work across the business or company. It is like using customer feedback to create a long-lasting and in-depth understanding of customers, creating a system to collect timely feedback, and also implementing actions to solve the customers’ problems, removing friction between the company and the customers.

What is Customer Focus?

I will tell you an example of exceptional customer service. I had enrolled for an event that had collected my lead as an attendee from a marketing emailer. Due to the coronavirus lockdown, the event got canceled. However, I wasn’t upset because I got reimbursed in my bank account which was collected by the customer service representative. I got a follow-up email after a couple of weeks about the event to be held in online mode.

The event was conducted online and there were no registration fees. The event was held successfully and interestingly, I also got the details of the event’s lessons shared by the speaker. The event was noteworthy as it had the who’s who of the industry and also imparted important skills required to upskill oneself in the digital marketing industry. I was amazed by the event’s customer service team who ensured that even if we missed attending the online event, we can access the event’s videos whenever we can.

This is an example of the great customer service I experienced in the last few years. I in fact even recommended the event organizing company and the event to many of my friends who were looking for quality courses online. My satisfaction as a customer made me give positive ratings to the customer service team as well. I even went on to blog about the company on its website and gave reviews on Facebook and Google.

So, if you run a company and want to ensure that customers are delighted by your services or products, you need to do a regular follow-up with the customer at every stage they are associated with you. If you don’t follow up, it is like the customer gets missed out and even thinks left out in the process. You can even run a marketing campaign that keeps your customers informed and engaged about the company’s progress and achievements. The more you make the customer feel that the company is running smoothly only because of their contribution and valuable support, you will establish a loyal relationship with your customers.
