Yamaha’s new bike Yamaha FZ-X will be launched in India on 18 June. The new model’s photo was taken a few weeks ago during the shoot of her TV commercial near Atal Tunnel. Many photos of the bike reveal most of its details. Firstly, the new model is based on the neo-retro design language. Up front, the bike gets an LED projector headlamp, which looks similar to the MT-15.
Along with this, the bike gets circular split styled LED DRLs, which look good in the dark. The new Yamaha FZ-X is powered by a 149cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. It will give a power output of 12.2 hp. Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity can also be given in the FZ-X.
According to an earlier leaked document, the upcoming new Yamaha FZ-X will be 30mm longer, 5mm higher and 35mm wider than the current FZS-Fi. However, the wheelbase will remain the same at 1,330mm. The upcoming FZ-X may add a premium of around Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 over the price of the FZS-Fi, which currently starts at Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The rest of the details of this bike will be revealed on June 18.
