Walmart may give value to humans over shelf-scanning robots

We have always heard technology leading to layoffs in the company. Means things over humans were happening before 2020’s coronavirus pandemic.

But now Walmart is setting a new example by removing the robots from their jobs and giving value to human resources in the organization.

Walmart had deployed robots to look after the things in the shelves in over 500 stores.

But now it has decided to move on from its business association with Bossa Nova Robotics, the company that builds robots with cameras for figuring out-of-stock and misplaced products.

As Walmart has worked with the robotic company for five years and understood more about technology in a better way, it plans to hire human workers who could get same results as the robots.

The company also said in a report that it also has ideas to experiment with other new technologies in the industry for keeping a check on inventory and moving goods.

The new normal giving importance to humans over materialism looks cool, isn’t it?
