Trump orders ByteDance to sell TikTok’s US business in 90 days

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has given Chinese company ByteDance 90 days to sell the TickTalk App business in the US. Trump said in his executive order that there is credible evidence that I have to believe that Bydtance took a step that threatened US national security.

Earlier last week, Donald Trump banned dealing with the Chinese owners of TickTock and WeChat. He had said that TickTock and WeChat are a threat to America’s national security, foreign policy and economy. It is not yet clear what is meant by the order regarding TickTalk. There are 100 million users of this app in the US.

Trump also gave ByteDans any data taken or received from American users. Let me tell you that ByteDance is in talks with Microsoft to buy TickTock’s business in America. Not only this, US President Donald Trump has set a deadline of September 15 to ban TickTock in the country in case of not buying Microsoft or any other company. He has signed an executive order in this regard.
