Tata Motors has announced the launch of India’s most affordable electric car at a price of 8.49 Lakhs recently by the name of Tata Tiago. Tata is the only Indian brand to be making ev’s in India as of now and has plans to attract more buys to switch to Electric cars for a better future.

Tata is currently the market leader for EV’s in India, backed by government subsidies. This move also comes in competition with Mahindra & Mahindra, as they are reportedly in conversation about raising funds for making EV’s and plan to launch something soon to join the league.

Tiago is the EV by  Tata’s and the first electric hatchback being offered by the brand. The bookings for Tiago will begin from October 10 2022 and the deliveries of the car will begin in January 2023 according to sources.

Tata has plans to expand its EV business and presence from 85 to 165 cities as the brands expects a positive response for the new product from tier-2/3 cities.

The new version of Tiago car is priced at a difference of Rs 3.1 lakh from the regular car variant. Also, an important thing to note is that these prices are only applicable for the first 10,000 customers.

Tata Tiago EV is equipped with fast charging capabilities and has two batteries, both battery packs can be quickly charged from 10 to 80 % in less than an hour. 

Talking about the EV’s design; it is identical to the regular Tiago. The only differentiator is, it sports blue accents and headlamps. Tiago EV comes in five colours options: Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Midnight Plum, and Tropical Mist.
