Sensex recovered sharply from lower levels

Mumbai: Sensex closed above 52,300 with a slight gain, up 743.34 points from the day’s low. On the other hand, Nifty closed with a slight decline of 8.05 points. Banking stocks were mixed on the Sensex and HUL was the biggest buy. On the other hand, except Nifty Auto and Nipty Metal Indices, all sector indices closed with gains and all the more gains were in Nifty IT Index. Adani Ports gained 7.15 per cent today on Nifty50.

At the close of business, Sensex closed with gains and Nifty 50 declined. During trading today, the Sensex opened at 52,568.07 points and reached 52,586.41 points. Although it slipped to 51,601.11 points during trading, but it recovered in less than an hour after the market closed. After this, it closed at 52,344.45, down 0.04 percent or 21.12 points when the Sensex closed. Today 12 stocks closed with gains on the Sensex, while the remaining 18 stocks closed with a fall. There was a mixed trend in banking stocks on the Sensex and HUL was the biggest buy.

Talking about Nifty 50, it closed at 15,683.35, down 0.05 percent or 8.05 points. On Nifty, 22 stocks including Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto and HUL closed with gains while the remaining 28 stocks closed down.
