New Delhi: The government has extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar by another 3 months. Now PAN-Aadhaar linking can be done till 30 September 2021. Earlier, the central government has extended the last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar number from 31 March 2021 to 30 June 2021. The IT department has told that this is being done due to the difficulties arising due to the corona virus epidemic.
According to the Income Tax Department, if PAN card holders do not link PAN with Aadhaar by the stipulated deadline, then PAN will become inactive.
