Nestle to invest Rs 5,000 crore in India as part of its Expansion Plans
Nestle, the Global FMCG giant is all set to invest ₹5,000 crore in India, according to the company officials. The new plans are in line with point to the company’s strategy for ramping up sales in the Indian market.
Global FMCG Major, Nestle, has big plans for India for the next few years and sees a lot of pent-up demand. This decision will provide exciting new opportunities for India at the same time strengthen the core business of Nestle in the country.
The expenditure would be distributed between different aspects of the business like setting up new plants for manufacturing more units, acquiring businesses and launching of new products under the existing portfolio of the company. Nestle works with a capacity of 9 manufacturing plans at the moment but is searching for new spaces to set up and expand them.
India is a huge market and this level of investment will certainly accelerate growth and create more job opportunities for the Indian population.
Nestle has its existence in India since 110 years as a retailer but started its production only in the 1960s. The brand has made some meaningful contributions in the country for years.
