The saree company of India, Nalli Silks, has started its first UK store in London.
The company made an investment of around 300,000 pounds to meet the requirements of its UK customers days before the festive season of Diwali begins.
Headquarated in Chennai, the company has a history of attracting UK customers after gifting sarees to British royalty King George V and Queen Elizabeth II.
The company also has ideas to launch more stores in London and Birmingham.
The move comes after Indian and UK economies are recovering from the negative effects of coronavirus pandemic.
The company also has presence in the US, Singapore and Canada.
