New Delhi: Now in Madhya Pradesh, not only household goods but also liquor can also be ordered. The state government is going to arrange that liquor can be delivered at home by ordering online. Such a provision has been made in the new excise policy. Madhya Pradesh will be the first state to make this arrangement. Two years ago there was a plan to start this in Punjab but it could not be implemented.
The Excise Department of Madhya Pradesh is introducing a new Excise Policy for the next financial year. The biggest emphasis in this policy is to increase revenue. Several provisions have been made for this, including online liquor sales and increasing license fees. There is a readiness to implement this policy soon after the Chief Minister’s seal.
The policy also provides for punishment on alcohol advertising. If someone advertises on liquor, then a penalty of 3 to 5 years and 10 lakh fine should be taken. If the excise and police are attacked during official proceedings, then the Hamalwar should be punished with 7 to 10 years.
