New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that in two years from now, the price of electric vehicles will be equal to petrol vehicles. Where oil of fifty thousand rupees is used, there will be electricity of two thousand rupees. He claimed that in two years we will make such electric buses and cars which will come and go from Delhi to Ballia by charging once.
7.89 lakh crore highway projects are under construction across the country and due to the delay caused by the covid-19 epidemic, several steps have been taken to speed up their work. A total of 2,084 such projects in the country relate to the construction of 63,523 km of national highways. Road Transport, Highways and MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “As on date, 2,084 projects on national highways are under construction. A time period of two to three years has been given for completion from the date of commencement of the projects.” He said that the cost of these projects for construction of 63,523 km of highways is Rs 7.89 lakh crore.
